Sanne van der Horst

Sanne van der Horst (1978) begon met cello spelen bij Mechteld Lindeboom en studeerde in de vooropleiding in Enschede bij Paul Uyterlinde. Van 1997 tot 2002 studeerde zij in Den Haag bij Marien van Staalen.
Sanne studeerde van september tot en met december 2001 als uitwisselingsstudent aan de Royal College of Music te Londen bij Jerome Pernoo en Jennifer Ward-Clarke (barokcello). Van 2002 tot en met haar Tweede Fase examen in mei 2004 studeerde zij in Den Haag bij Harro Ruysenaars.
Sanne deed orkestervaring op in het Nationaal Jeugdorkest en nam tijdens de tournees deel aan diverse kamermuziekprogramma's. Zij is remplacant in het Residentie Orkest en het Rotterdams Philharmonisch Orkest.
Sanne bespeelt een B.S.Fendt cello uit ca.1825 met een D. ter Berg strijkstok, haar ter beschikking gesteld door het Nationaal Muziekinstrumenten Fonds.

Sanne van der Horst (1978) started to play the cello with Mechteld Lindeboom and studied in the preliminary training with Paul Uyterlinde at the Conservatory of Enschede. During 1997-2002 she studied for her Bachelor with Marien van Staalen at the Royal College of Music in The Hague. In 2001 Sanne studied for three months with Jerome Pernoo and Jennifer Ward - Clarke ( baroque cello) as an exchange student at The Royal College of Music in London. From 2002 until her Master exam in May 2004 she continued her study with Harro Ruysenaars at The Royal College of Music in The Hague. Sanne experienced playing in a orchestra, a.o. in The National Youth Orchestra and took part in several chamber music programs during tours. She is frequently playing in The Residentie Orchestra (The Hague) and in the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra. Sanne plays on a cello by B.S. Fendt (1825) with a bow by D. ter Berg (1974) loaned to her by the National Music Instrument Foundation.
