Rodin Pianotrio

Het Rodin Pianotrio is een jong, veelbelovend en ambitieus ensemble, dat sinds de oprichting in het najaar van 2000, met grote regelmaat te zien en te beluisteren is op grote en kleine podia in Nederland en daar buiten (o.a. Het Concertgebouw, De Oosterpoort, het Mendelssohn-huis (Leipzig), Muziekcentrum Vredenburg, De Doelen en Muziekcentrum Frits Philips). Het trio werd vernoemd naar de beeldhouwer Auguste Rodin, die naast een groot kunstenaar ook een groot bewonderaar van vrouwen was... In de loop der jaren heeft het trio een breed repertoire opgebouwd met werken van o.a. Haydn, Beethoven, Brahms, Ives, Shostakovitsj, Piazzolla en Kagel. Het trio wordt geroemd vanwege zijn verfijnde klank in combinatie met perfekt samenspel.

In mei 2002 behaalde het Rodin Pianotrio de finale van het Kamermuziekconcours Almere. Het trio won in maart 2004 De Link Publieksprijs.
Het Rodin Pianotrio heeft in de serie Het Debuut in het seizoen 2004/2005 concerten gegeven in de tien bekendste Nederlandse zalen. Het trio was meerdere malen op de radio te beluisteren, o.a. in het programma Spiegelzaal.
In augustus 2005 heeft het trio met Mauricio Kagel gewerkt aan diens Tweede Pianotrio. Het Rodin Pianotrio voerde dit werk tweemaal met succes uit in het kader van de Gelderse Muziekzomer en de NJO Summer Academy.

The Rodin Pianotrio is a young, promising and ambitious ensemble. Since its formation in the autumn of 2000, the trio has performed regularly in halls and theaters big and small in the Netherlands (a.o. The Concertgebouw Amsterdam, Music Centre Vredenburg Utrecht, De Doelen Rotterdam, De Oosterpoort Groningen and Music Centre Frits Philips Eindhoven) and other countries. Throughout the years the trio has developed a broad repertoire, consisting of works by a.o. Haydn, Beethoven, Brahms, Ives, Shostakovitsj, Piazzolla en Kagel. The Rodin Pianotrio is known for its refined sound in combination with perfect ensemble playing.

In May 2002 the Rodin Pianotrio was a finalist of the National Chambermusic Competition Almere. In March 2004 the trio won The Link Audience-Award (contemporary music).
In the spring of 2005 the Rodin Piano Trio was selected to give 10 concerts in the series The Debut in famous halls throughout The Netherlands. The trio was on the radio a number of times, for example on the program Spiegelzaal.
In the Summer of 2005 the trio worked with the composer Mauricio Kagel on his second Piano Trio and performed the piece with great success during the festival Gelderse Muziekzomer and the NJO Summer Academy.


Das Repertoire des Ensembles umfasst Werke von Schubert, Brahms, Charles Ives, Frank Martin, Piazzolla, Mauricio Kagel und viele andere.
Das Ensemble nahm an Meisterkursen beim Altenberg Trio Wien und beim Osiris Trio und Storioni Trio aus der Niederlande teil.
